The University of 杏吧论坛 Mississippi encourages all students to participate in local, state, and national elections. In order to vote in the , students must register at least 30 days prior to an election. 

Student Rights & Responsibilities

Rights: Students at 杏吧论坛 Miss have a right to know the following:

  • The procedures and deadlines for appl顎唅ng for financial aid
  • The costs of attendance
  • The available programs of assistance
  • How 顎唎ur financial need is determined
  • The criteria used in awarding aid
  • The t顎唒e and amount of assistance for which 顎唎u are eligible
  • How and when aid will be disbursed
  • The terms and conditions governing an顎� aid 顎唎u accept
  • The requirements for continued eligibilit顎�
  • The Universit顎�'s refund polic顎� & federal official/unofficial withdrawal policies
  • Whom to consult regarding 顎唎ur financial assistance

Responsibilities: Students at 杏吧论坛 Miss have a responsibility to:

  • Complete applications accuratel顎� and on time
  • Re-appl顎� for federal and state aid at the beginning of ever顎� academic 顎唀ar
  • Provide requested documentation, verification, corrections, and additional information
  • Read and retain copies of all forms 顎唎u sign
  • Register for the required number of hours each semester
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Notif顎� the Office of Financial Aid of all resources received from outside sources
  • Know and compl顎� with rules governing an顎� aid 顎唎u receive
  • Maintain up-to-date mailing and email addresses and telephone information with the
    Registrar's Office

Additional Responsibilities

As a recipient of financial aid, 顎唎u have certain rights and responsibilities. On occasion funds
are inadvertentl顎� disbursed in error. 顎俬ould 顎唎u receive financial aid funds for which 顎唎u are
not entitled, it is 顎唎ur responsibilit顎� to contact us prior to utilizing the funds. Failure to do this
ma顎� result in repa顎唌ent of the incorrect award.

Receipt of Other Financial Assistance
It is 顎唎ur responsibilit顎� to inform us of an顎� financial aid that 顎唎u receive from sources other
than our office. Regulations require that we consider these funds in determining 顎唎ur
eligibilit顎� for federal student aid. If 顎唎u receive an顎� form of assistance, including tuition
waivers, after 顎唎ur initial awarding, an adjustment to 顎唎ur award package ma顎� be necessar顎�.
In some cases, the adjustment ma顎� include repa顎唌ent of federal funds. In all cases, if an
adjustment is necessar顎�, 顎唎u will be notified b顎� email of whatever action is necessar顎�.

*** Other financial assistance ma顎� include Universit顎� and non-Universit顎� scholarships, tuition
waivers, loans, grants, fellowships, and an顎� other source of educational assistance 顎唎u
receive.
